Ward County enacts outdoor burn and fireworks bans
The Commissioners' Court unanimously approved an outdoor burn ban and a separate fireworks ban at its Dec. 8, 2025 meeting. Both measures passed by unanimous motions recorded in the minutes.

The Ward County Commissioners' Court on Dec. 8, 2025 approved an outdoor burn ban and a fireworks ban after separate unanimous motions. Commissioner Eddie Nelms moved each ban; Commissioner Billy Redmon seconded both motions and the Court adopted them without dissent.
