County dismisses Creswell Township road-vacation after U.S. Attorney objects
Cowley County commissioners voted 3-0 to dismiss a proposed vacation of 77th Road in Creswell Township after the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Kansas asked that the road not be vacated because it would landlock property managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

County Counselor Mark Krusor told the board that the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of the United States Attorney for the District of Kansas, sent a letter requesting that the county not vacate a section of 77th Road in Creswell Township because vacating it would landlock property managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The board voted 3-0 to dismiss the road-vacation request.
