Council raises traffic concerns after developer changes access plans for Nilson Homes

Council members raised concerns that a revised access configuration for the recently approved Nilson Homes subdivision could increase traffic on existing neighborhood streets. Mayor Marie Dougherty reported Nilson Homes had been approved and annexed; she explained the originally anticipated connection to 1800 North through an adjoining property was not secured because that property owner has different development plans, and that Nilson Homes acquired additional property to provide the required third access via a connection to 4500 West.
