Ruston police pause ALPR use and prepare automated traffic-camera program

Ruston Police Chief Bautista reported on April 21 that the city does not use Flock ALPR cameras but instead uses a Verkada system; because of uncertainty about new state regulations and possible criminal penalties for violations, the department has restricted access and is not actively using the data.
