Cherokee County removes six NRP projects from program for noncompliance

At the June 9 meeting, Commissioner Myra Frazier moved to remove multiple Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) project numbers for noncompliance with program rules. The board voted unanimously on separate motions to remove N2024-09, 2023-47, 2023-41, 2023-38, 2022-62 and 2020-34.
Each removal was handled in a separate motion, each seconded and each passing unanimously. The board’s minutes record the noncompliance finding as the reason for removal; no public debate or formal appeal was recorded during the meeting. Any parties affected by the removals would need to follow county procedures for appeals or reapplication.
