County staff and commissioners discussed a prior 2021 five-year arrangement to facilitate snow removal in Big Sky and whether that agreement had been properly presented to the commissioners. Staff noted that any contract with an annualized value in excess of $80,000 requires competitive advertising under statute and that the county's procurement policy has a $25,000 threshold for services.
