Jefferson County commissioners approved a series of temporary construction easements tied to three bridge projects and associated small payments to affected property owners.
Public works staff described three bridge replacements—projects in Roberts, Market Lake/Butte Canal and other locations including two wooden bridges on 4950 East—and said the construction is scheduled for this fall. The board reviewed easement language and agreed to pay $500 to two property owners where required; one owner waived payment. Commissioners discussed logistics for 'shoe fly' detours that require crossing private property and confirmed the county will obtain temporary access for construction and have LTAC reimburse the payments where eligible.
A motion to approve the individual temporary construction easement for parcel RP 04 N 40 E 35840 (B and H Family Trust) with a $500 payment was moved and seconded; the roll-call vote carried. Similar motions were made and approved for the Progressive Irrigation District easement and other parcels discussed during the item.
Board members emphasized timely execution to keep the bridge grant work on schedule and asked staff to process the easements individually so records clearly match parcels and payments.
