During discussion of the WVFD’s request, the Board of Trustees clarified the procedural rule that internal budget transfers within the fire department can be managed by the Town Administrator but that any proposed use of funds from other departments would require approval during a public meeting. Chairman Joel Siria and Town Administrator Lunt emphasized open communication and that the board relies on the WVFD to identify departmental needs.
