McFarland reported Handtevy method training was completed with no issues and said Jay County participated in the state study conducted with the Bowen Center. He also requested permission to pursue Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) unit certification with the Indiana Department of Homeland Security to allow medically supervised in‑home visits and potential future vehicle deployment; commissioners approved the request. The MIH aims to reduce avoidable emergency‑department visits by offering screenings, follow‑ups and resource navigation in patients’ homes.
