County approves records-storage study and water-system intergovernmental agreement

Commissioner Talton presented a proposal from SP Design Group of Macon for $5,662 to study utilization of the existing Records Storage Facility and the adjacent Receiving Warehouse; the Board unanimously approved the professional-services agreement.
Commissioner Byrd presented and the Board unanimously approved an Infrastructure Intergovernmental Agreement between Houston County and the cities of Centerville, Perry, and Warner Robins to govern master-meter requests and extensions to the County water system. The agreement requires a minimum 6-inch meter to be considered a wholesale customer and calls for additional approvals for each extension of the system, according to Director of Operations Brian Jones.
