Board approves three home-occupation special exceptions, tables two applications

Chief Building Inspector Tim Andrews presented Special Exception Applications #2844–#2848 for home occupations and the Board opened a public hearing. County Attorney Tom Hall made a blanket statement that Board approval does not override private neighborhood covenants that may prohibit commercial activity on residential lots.
Applicants for #2844 (Cherrise Pierce, massage therapy), #2846 (Ron Bartholomew, gas appliance service technician), and #2848 (Jacob Batten, pressure washing) were approved with staff stipulations; #2845 (Victor Primas, home care and assistance) and #2847 (Lindsey Hayes, nurse staffing agency) were tabled. Approved applicants were instructed to apply for a business license at the Commissioner's Office.
