Nursing program wins ACEN accreditation; reports 90% first-time NCLEX pass rate

Nursing Director Tara Morgan told Regents the program received full national accreditation through ACEN with no warnings, reported a 90% first-time NCLEX pass rate for second-year students and zero student attrition for the semester cohort, and is transitioning to Concept-Based Nursing.

Tara Morgan, Nursing Director of Nursing and Allied Health, reported to the Board that the Nursing Program received full national accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) with no warnings or follow-up requirements. Morgan said the next accreditation visit is scheduled for Fall 2033 and that state reporting intervals were extended from three months to six months because of program progress.
