On Aug. 28 the Nemaha County Board of Equalization authorized mailing 557 Board Notices after the assessor reported a recalculation step had not been processed correctly, affecting parcel valuations and requiring county-wide notification.

At its Aug. 28 meeting the Nemaha County Board of Equalization authorized the County Assessor to mail 557 Board Notices to parcels affected by a clerical/computer processing error. Assessor Jana Smith told the board a recalculation step had not processed correctly, and provided the board with a long list of parcel numbers to be notified; the board voted to authorize mailing the notices to affected property owners.
