Council reviewed the status of a multi-phase flood-control project and approved moving forward only with phase 1 (the engineering portion), not the $3 million construction phase 2. Staff said FEMA had approved $97,000 and UDOT offered $43,000 to fund the engineering work; however, the city needs to sign the contract and cover a small local shortfall so invoicing can begin.
