Fillmore council approves $25,945 mudjacker after split vote

The Fillmore City Council voted 3-2 on June 9 to buy a mudjacking pump for $25,945.75 to allow city public works crews to repair sunken sidewalks in-house. Councilmember Michael Winget said the equipment would let crews "immediately do repairs as opposed to waiting for an outside company to come and do it," and pushed the item to a priority list for public works.
