Midland accepts FY2025 audit with zero findings for third consecutive year

Council members praised the finance team’s work and noted this marks the third consecutive external audit with zero findings from a third-party auditor. "We are within a hair of our fifth star," one council member said of the Texas controller’s rating, and the council voted 6–0 to accept the audit. Staff said they will continue to strengthen internal controls and pursue best practices to maintain early filings and low findings in future years.
