Staff said the low bidder was not recommended for similar reasons as the high‑school project and noted Weather Shield has commercial experience appropriate to this smaller scope.
"Administration recommends the board of trustees approve a contract award to Weather Shield Roofing in the amount of $578,165 for the Celia Hayes Elementary School roofing replacements project," the presenter said. Trustees moved and seconded the recommendation and the board approved the contract in open session.
