Plainview approves new budgeting software contract to replace Excel spreadsheets
Council approved a three‑year agreement with Unisolutions for budgeting software, citing expected efficiency gains; staff said the contract is not to exceed $125,000 with a $49,950 implementation fee, to be paid from existing budget savings.

Interim Finance Director Vanessa Rincon told the council the city currently prepares its budget with multiple Microsoft Excel worksheets and recommended purchasing Unibudgeting software from Unisolutions to streamline personnel, operating and capital budgeting. "We currently do our budget on Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, and we're just trying to find a way to be more efficient," Rincon said.
