Waller County approved renewal of its CodeRED emergency-notification subscription after staff explained the modest population-based cost change and demonstrated geolocation and messaging features. Marshall (speaker 15), who presented the item, said the service allows the county to send geolocated text, email and voice alerts for targeted areas or countywide events and that the vendor's platform supports IPAWS for broader emergency messaging when necessary.
