The council convened an executive session under Texas Government Code Section 551.071 to consult with legal counsel about pending or contemplated litigation and a settlement agreement with Henthorn Commercial Construction LLC (the transcript contains minor spelling variations). After returning to open session, Mayor Pro Tem Weiss moved to approve the settlement agreement "as discussed in the executive session," the motion was seconded and the council voted unanimously in favor.
