Wadsworth City Council approved a set of public-service ordinances on Jan. 20 related to electric procurement and the city's fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) rollout. Ordinance No. 26-005 authorizes the Director of Public Service to procure power from American Municipal Power or its subsidiaries for resale by the city's electric department; Ordinance Nos. 26-006 and 26-007 authorize contracts with Aspen Smart Networks for FTTH project management and ongoing network and operational support. All three ordinances were adopted after suspension of the three-reading rule and unanimous roll-call votes.
