Facilities staff delivered a multi-campus construction update that highlighted Memorial High School nearing completion with turf installed, parking in place and internal finishes (auditorium lighting, seating and fine-arts classrooms) largely finished. Kevin Cockburn told trustees the field-house training area, weight room and locker rooms are in use and that the campus opened on schedule: "They're coming along nicely... it's kind of wrapping up the odds and ends around the building," he said.
Cockburn also summarized the 9th-grade center conversion to Friendship Middle School (fine-arts additions, new life-skills and motor rooms, renovated art and science spaces), new synthetic turf at Friendship Middle School and summer capital improvements at elementary campuses including rebuilt playgrounds, irrigation and parking expansions at the transportation hub. Trustees asked a few clarifying facility questions and thanked staff for the work; no separate vote was required for the update.
