Councilors agreed to move the sidewalk toward the street about 2.5 feet instead; the chair asked members to ratify the decision and "we approve it." A motion to ratify the adjustments was made and seconded and passed by voice vote.
Council directed staff to post signage where the sidewalk will be modified, to coordinate with property owners about vegetation removal, and to prepare a contractor punch list before the contractor demobilizes. Members discussed alternative surface treatments and possible utility relocations if needed; staff will also follow up with the engineer and contractor about the owner-side work and options to reduce cost.
