Loa to send WUI code and CIB project proposals to planning commission
Council agreed to send the 2006 WUI code and proposed CIB water projects to the Planning & Zoning commission for review; staff recommended adding a water master plan to the CIB list and warned to only list projects the town intends to pursue.

Brock, representing the regional assistance (R6) program, advised the council that adopting the 2006 Utah Wildland‑Urban Interface (WUI) Code by ordinance is required for participation in the Cooperative Wildfire Suppression partnership and recommended the Planning & Zoning commission review the sample code and an accompanying WUI map before the council holds a land‑use public hearing. "You must adopt the 2006 WUI Code by ordinance," Brock said, and he noted that Loa is not in a high‑risk area and therefore would likely have limited enforcement impact.
