Commissioners adopt five-year bridge priorities including two Mustinka River projects
Traverse County adopted Resolution 24-17, approving a five-year bridge program (2024–2029) that lists prioritized bridge projects, including Mustinka River crossings estimated at $1.3 million (CR 87, 2028) and $1.4 million (CR 86, 2029). The resolution passed unanimously.

County Engineer Chad Gillespie presented Resolution 24-17, the county’s Five-Year Bridge Program for 2024–2029. The resolution lists bridge priorities identified from local input and staff review and requests county authorization to pursue replacement, rehabilitation or removal as funds become available. Project entries included smaller township bridges (example: L9132, 600th St over Eighteen Mile Creek, estimated $300,000 proposed for 2026) and larger river crossings such as CR 87 (Mustinka River, estimated $1.3 million, proposed 2028) and CR 86 (Mustinka River, estimated $1.4 million, proposed 2029).
