The Oklahoma State Board of Education approved exceptions to teacher certification regulations to permit emergency (provisional) certificates under 70 O.S. § 6-187(G) during the Jan. 22 meeting. Board Member Brian Bobek moved to approve the request and Board Member Chris Van Denhende seconded; the motion carried with five yes votes and one abstention (Ms. Becky Carson).
