The Oklahoma State Board of Education approved the proposed Oklahoma Academic Standards for Physical Education during its Jan. 22, 2026 regular meeting. Board Member Brian Bobek moved to adopt the standards and Board Member Chris Van Denhende seconded; the minutes record the motion as APPROVED with votes from Mr. Deatherage, Mr. Van Denhende, Mr. Nofire, Mr. Bobek, Ms. Carson, and Superintendent Fields.
