The Jackson County Board on Aug. 18 approved a change to the Jackson County Employee Handbook (Section 4.03) to pay a $3.00-per-hour hazard pay differential to non-exempt Highway Department employees while working on Interstate 94 within county limits. The resolution indicates the differential is in addition to overtime, holiday or weekend pay and will be reviewed every three to five years.
