Colfax council accepts $2.2 million bid for water system improvements
The council unanimously approved accepting Halme Construction’s $2,206,814 bid for a two‑phase water system improvement project that will replace about 2,800 feet of mainline and 200 water services; phase two (2027) includes work under the 195 bridge on Main Street.

The Colfax City Council on Dec. 1 voted unanimously to accept Halme Construction Inc.’s $2,206,814 bid for the city’s Water System Improvement Project. City Administrator Matt Hammer told the council engineers verified the winning bid and that it fell near the middle of the bid range presented to the council.
