Commissioner asks for review of Riverside's Flock Safety contract amid false-alarm concerns

Dillon said false alerts reported elsewhere can escalate police responses and put people at risk and asked whether Riverside has local controls on vendor data use.

Other commissioners noted the issue spans departments (RPD, Public Works, traffic) and asked staff to coordinate a multi-department review that would clarify contract terms, installation standards and data governance. Dillon framed the request as a broad review rather than a single-issue hearing, asking staff to gather the relevant documentation for a future meeting.
