Executive Committee authorizes short-term financing for 2025 highway projects

The Price County Executive Committee on Feb. 12 approved an amendment to Resolution 34-24 authorizing the county to use short-term debt to finance portions of the 2025 Highway Department construction projects. The amendment lists not-to-exceed amounts: $3,100,000; $2,610,000; and $3,020,000, and the resolution language directs that debt payments be included in the 2026 Price County budget.
Supervisor Doug Erickson moved the amendment and Supervisor Alan Barkstrom seconded; the motion carried. The committee recorded a fiscal-impact line showing $3,100,000; $2,640,994; and $3,020,000 as the budget figures in the amended resolution text. The committee directed staff to proceed with implementation of financing within those limits and to reflect payment obligations in next year’s budget.
