County engineers report progress on roadwork; Wendling begins rock-hauling contract
Jackson County Engineering reported that Wendling began a recently approved rock-hauling contract and that Z-15 bridge work and other road projects are advancing, though rain and river conditions slow earthwork; Sheckwell said one job is estimated at 80 working days (weather-dependent).

At the April 14 meeting, Jackson County Engineering told supervisors that the previously approved contract for rock hauling has begun and that staff are coordinating operations in the field. Jaden Sheckwell said Wendling began hauling the day after award and that office staff and blade operators are working together to spread material; he noted positive public feedback on recent brush cutting and mulching.
