Council renews wildland fire agreement with state to retain suppression coverage and grant access
South Weber approved Resolution 25-03 to renew its wildland fire agreement with the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands, preserving suppression-cost coverage and access to state and federal grants.

South Weber’s Fire Chief Derek Tolman explained to the council that the city has long partnered with the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands for community wildland protection and that the prior agreement expired Dec. 31, 2024. The council approved Resolution 25-03 on Jan. 28 to continue the partnership.
