The Deming City Council met remotely on June 23, 2026, and, following a closed session under NMSA 1978, 10-15-1(H)(2) to discuss limited personnel matters, approved appointed employees' contracts on a roll-call vote. Councilor Julian Monjaras moved to accept the contracts; Councilor Stephen Westenhofer seconded. The roll call recorded Mayor Pro Tem Laura Parra, Councilors Catherine Gutierrez, Stephen Westenhofer and Julian Monjaras voting AYE on the acceptance.
