Rolette County commissioners voted unanimously on July 1 to purchase a Priority Dispatch mapping system at an annual cost of $5,925. The system is intended to translate and transcribe dispatch calls and to generate reports for the state, according to presenter Ryan Hiatt.
The board also approved a separate $3,825 expenditure to train three additional dispatchers; Ryan told the board the training lasts two years and that both costs are included in his budget. The motions were moved and seconded by board members (purchase motion by Zaste, seconded by Abrahamson) and passed on a roll-call unanimous vote.
