Board approves offering laptops to supervisors and using ARPA funds to pay for them
After an IT briefing on device options and capacity constraints, the board voted to issue laptops to supervisors who want them and to transfer ARPA funds to cover the cost; the IT director warned of staffing and security needs for implementation.

IT Director Conner Simon presented three device-issuance options to the board: continue a bring-your-own-device model, issue iPads, or issue laptops. Simon outlined tradeoffs in cost, security and training and said the IT department is currently beyond capacity and would need board support for implementation.
