County authorizes Northpointe to apply for $250,000 development grant
The board approved Resolution 2023-45 authorizing Northpointe to submit a $250,000 Community Development Investment (CDI) grant application on Vernon County’s behalf; Northpointe will accept financial responsibility for required match and enter an MOU if awarded.

The Vernon County Board on Aug. 15 authorized Northpointe to submit a $250,000 grant application to the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) Community Development Investment (CDI) program on behalf of Vernon County. Economic Development Director Amy Oliver told the board Northpointe cannot apply directly and that the county’s participation is necessary so the application will carry the required local-government endorsement; the resolution requires Northpointe to accept responsibility for any match funds and to enter a memorandum of understanding if the grant is awarded.
