Commission approves local board appointments, honors long-serving officials

The Box Elder County Commission on Dec. 18 approved multiple appointments and honored long-serving public officials.
Commissioner Bingham moved to appoint Mike Brager of the Willard City Council to the Bear River Water Conservancy District board; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously. The commission also reappointed Kevin Hall, owner of Peach City Restaurant, to a three-year term on the Bear River Health Department and appointed Danny Earle to the sheriff’s deputy merit commission effective Feb. 1 to replace William "Bill" Myers, who is stepping down after nearly 30 years of service.
Chair thanked both outgoing and continuing officials and presented plaques recognizing service. The commission concluded the recognitions with photographs and a formal vote to adjourn after the presentations.
