Commissioner Rex Wolfsen shared a draft job description for a County Opioid Program Coordinator and asked the Board to review the proposal. Wolfsen recommended that, after hiring, the coordinator be supported by an advisory board that would include a law enforcement association representative, a person with lived experience, a representative from RTA, a Board of Commissioners member, school representatives, EMS and Fire Association representatives, and the County Administrator; he also suggested the advisory members receive a per diem.
Commissioner Kim Morley recommended including NLCMH on the advisory board. No hiring decision or funding authorization was recorded during the meeting; the Board was asked to review the job description as presented.
