County approves HDR engineering amendment for CR4 pole relocation; signs CR3 construction contract

At 9:50 A.M. the board heard a presentation from Road & Bridge Engineer Jana Hennessy on several transportation projects.
The commissioners approved an amendment to the HDR Engineering contract for design options related to relocating power poles on CR4 (102nd Ave NW to 91st Ave NW). The amendment increases engineering costs by $57,080, bringing the HDR contract total to $1,036,778.29; the board specified a cost split of 50% with Mountrail Williams Electric Cooperative (MWEC) and 50% with the county. The motion was moved by Commissioner John DeGroot and seconded by Commissioner Joan Hollekim and carried by roll call.
The board also approved signing the Construction Agreement with Jensen Brothers Construction, Inc. for Palermo North CR3 Project No. 03(71)23 and approved issuing a Notice to Proceed to the contractor. Commissioners voted to approve the 2026 Township Annual Road Maintenance Agreement with Egan Township and accepted the Township Annual Road Maintenance binders presented by the engineer.
