Clermont County approves payments, contracts and small capital changes in routine session

The Clermont County Board of Commissioners approved a series of routine but material administrative and procurement actions on Sept. 24, 2025. Highlights include adoption of a resolution to approve vendor payments totaling $1,514,030.70 (Resolution No. 150-25); execution of a SpeakWrite, LLC service agreement for voice-to-document transcription for the Department of Job and Family Services with an estimated annual cost not to exceed $40,000 (contingent on appropriations); and execution of the fourth renewal option for payment-processing services with Gila, LLC d/b/a Municipal Services Bureau covering Sept. 30, 2025–Sept. 29, 2026.
The board also approved a joint funding agreement with the U.S. Geological Survey for stream gage operation on the East Fork of the Little Miami River for an amount not to exceed $7,500 (effective Oct. 1, 2025–Sept. 30, 2026). Facilities Management executed Change Order No. 1 to the Emergency Management Agency office renovation contract with Kramer & Feldman, Inc., increasing the contract by $7,091.80 for additional drywall framing and finishing (adjusted contract total $345,674.80); Projects Manager Brian Marshall explained the need for the change order during discussion. The board adopted Resolution No. 152-25 accepting unrestricted donations for the kennel for the second quarter of 2025 and authorized County administrators to approve IRS Form 179D for energy-efficiency project tax deductions per ORC §9.239(B). All items were approved as presented.
