Adult services: audits, protective-services uptick and ICF bed transfers discussed
Adult Services reported upcoming insurer and CMS audits, a slight increase in Adult Protective Services reports (notably financial exploitation), and coordination with REM to transfer two ICF beds to Martin County; Madelia ICF expected to close by 2027.

Adult Services supervisor Katy Goldschmidt told the board that March saw 13 MnCHOICES initial assessments and reassessments combined, and that care coordinators for UCare, Medica and Blue Plus are preparing for audits—Blue Plus (CMS) audit is scheduled to begin next week, with UCare and Medica audits to follow in May.
