Tintic maintenance director details projects including bleacher bid and roof RFP

Maintenance Director Bill Hansen gave the board a facilities update at the Feb. 23 work session, outlining several completed and ongoing projects. Hansen reported that concrete at Eureka Elementary was raised to eliminate trip hazards and a sidewalk at the West Desert campus was completed. He said the district accepted a bid for bleacher installation at Tintic High School and re-issued an RFP for the Eureka Elementary roof.
Hansen also reported the district is gathering bids for air-conditioning installation in the Tintic High School gymnasium, auditorium, and band room, and that the West Desert High School kitchen remodel is underway as part of facilities planning. President Jeana Rowley thanked Hansen for the report; Business Administrator Jeremy Snell noted the bleacher bid came in lower than expected and the district is discussing options for using remaining funds.
The projects highlighted are capital and maintenance priorities for the district and are being scheduled and bid according to procurement rules noted in the work session.
