Scharrer said MIHI updated award numbers after reviewing more than 1,900 parcels and determined 163 parcels are served through other grant‑funded projects and therefore ineligible for BEAD funding.

County staff and ISPs noted the importance of accurate mapping and classification: parcels listed as served by other grants are excluded from BEAD to avoid duplicative funding. The Task Force will monitor finalized ISP/MIHI agreements and map updates to track which locations remain eligible for BEAD funding.
