Chris Scharrer, president of DCS Technology Design, told the Berrien County Broadband Internet Task Force on March 5 that ISPs are finalizing agreements with the Michigan High‑Speed Internet (MIHI) office and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration as part of BEAD. Scharrer said MIHI updated award numbers after reviewing more than 1,900 parcels and determined 163 parcels are served through other grant‑funded projects and therefore ineligible for BEAD funding.
