Berkeley County reports $653,665 surplus; Commission approves State Budget Revision #1 for Fund 001

County Administrator Gary Wine presented the end-of-July budget review, reporting a projected unencumbered fund balance of $2,680,000 but an actual balance of $3,333,665 at fiscal year end, creating an excess of $653,665. He said an additional $65,770 in assigned fund balance carried over because of outstanding purchase orders, producing $719,382 available for allocation and proposed State Budget Revision #1 for Fund 001.
