County Manager Tony Hughes provided an operations update at the meeting, thanking the Fire Department, 911 Dispatch and the Sheriff's Office for their work and noting a recent house fire with no injuries. He said Union County's Road Department is "extremely busy" with paving, pothole repairs, ditch cleaning and mowing; the minutes specify the county runs three crews mowing 10 hours per day, four days per week on county-maintained roads.
