County proclaims Constitution Week; recognizes Parker County Historical Commission

Parker County’s commissioners proclaimed Sept. 17–23, 2025, as Constitution Week at the request of the Weatherford chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Linda Schmidt, regent of the Weatherford DAR, accepted the proclamation on behalf of the organization.
The court also presented the Parker County Historical Commission with the Texas Historical Commission’s 2024 Distinguished Service Award. Terry, speaking for the county commission, highlighted volunteer efforts including installing and maintaining historical markers, cemetery preservation and school outreach programs. The court thanked the volunteers and approved the proclamation and award presentation unanimously.
