Fire department hires new firefighter-EMT; upgrades tools on reserve engine

Fire Chief Klug told the committee the department hired James Knorr as a firefighter-EMT; Knorr will begin paramedic training at Mid-State Technical College this fall, and "when he started, he actually is finishing up some of his job shadow shifts," Klug said. The department also held its semiannual city safety meeting to review workers’ compensation claims and coordinate citywide safety work.
