Forest announces Angel Lake Dam reinforcement and Ruby Crest Trail proposal
Wendy Markham of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest said the spillway at Angel Lake Dam was reinforced and will be beveled to improve recreational access; she also requested letters of support for forestwide trail work targeting the Ruby Crest Trail.

Wendy Markham, representing the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, updated the board on recent work at Angel Lake Dam and a forestwide recreational-trails proposal. Markham said crews reinforced and armored the spillway this late summer, and she and regional engineering staff agreed on a plan to bevel the dam so it is easier and safer to access when water levels are low.
