At the meeting's finance report, Treasurer Marissa told the board the district received a large ad valorem payment last month and has roughly $474,000 in the bank.
"So, we got a pretty nice, ad valorem payment last month... right now, we have, about 474,000 in the bank account," Marissa said. Board members noted ad valorem receipts vary widely month to month — Marissa said some months are as high as about $200,000 and others as low as $50,000 — and agreed to weigh that variability when approving capital spending. The board discussed lines of credit and available liquid cash (about $90,000 in Raymond James) as potential buffers for near-term projects.
